Hamster eating sellotape

(10 Nov 2009)

Question

My hamster has nibbled on some sellotape which was in her new cage and I want to know what would happen to my hamster if she has eaten some of the sellotape as would she have been ill or have died or be in pain?

Response

Thank you for email regarding your hamster. Just would just need to look out for any signs of being unwell, general malaise. I would just keep an eye on her faeces and make sure that she is going to the toilet alright as well. Apart from that there is not much you can do.

Remove the sellotape from the cage as well.
