Sydney Nagle MVB MRCVS is the Principal Veterinarian and founder of Cara Veterinary Group, with over 40 years’ experience caring for pets in Dublin 7 (Phoenix Park Gate) and Dublin 15 (Ballycoolin). After training at University College Dublin and working internationally as a veterinary surgeon, Sydney returned home to establish one of Dublin’s most respected independent veterinary practices.
About Sydney Nagle MVB MRCVS
Dr Sydney Nagle qualified from University College Dublin in 1982 and began his career working with large animals. His passion for animal welfare led him to South Africa, where he spent 12 years with leading animal rescue organisations, becoming Chief Veterinarian and developing advanced surgical expertise in small-animal medicine.
On returning to Ireland in 1995, Sydney purchased and developed the Animal Clinic in Castleknock and its branch clinic beside Phoenix Park Gate on the North Circular Road. He later re-branded both facilities as Cara Veterinary Group - uniting a dedicated team of vets and nurses focused on preventative healthcare, compassionate treatment and trusted client relationships.
Today, under Sydney’s leadership, Cara Veterinary Group continues to set the standard for veterinary excellence, combining decades of experience with modern technology to provide the highest level of care for pets across Dublin 7 and Dublin 15.
