Following additional training in the TTA Rapid technique, Sydney Nagle performs this procedure for suitable canine patients. Dogs may be seen following assessment by our own veterinary team or by referral from another veterinary practice.
How TTA Rapid Works
TTA Rapid uses a single titanium implant and a reduced number of screws compared with some other surgical techniques. The implant's open structure is designed to encourage bone growth and integration during healing. Your vet will discuss whether TTA Rapid is the most appropriate option for your dog's individual condition.

Is TTA Rapid the Right Procedure for My Dog?
TTA Rapid is one of several recognised surgical techniques used to treat cranial cruciate ligament rupture in dogs. Other procedures, including TPLO and traditional TTA, may be more appropriate depending on your dog's size, age, activity level and the nature of the injury. Following examination and diagnostic assessment, we will recommend the most suitable treatment option for your dog.

Signs of Cruciate Ligament Injury in Dogs
- Lameness or limping in one hind leg
- Difficulty rising, climbing stairs, or jumping
- Swelling around the knee joint
- Reluctance to bear weight on a leg
- “Sitting sideways” posture
If you notice any of these signs, your dog should be examined promptly by one of our experienced vets.
What to Expect After Surgery
- Initial recovery takes approximately 6–8 weeks
- Many dogs begin to bear weight on the operated leg within the first few days after surgery, although recovery varies between individuals
- Gradual reintroduction to exercise is guided by our veterinary team
- Follow-up X-rays assess bone healing and implant integration
